Bahamas Honeymoons

There are over 700 islands in the Bahamas, surrounded by waters ranging in color from emerald to turquoise to crystal blue. The Bahamas is a great fit for couples looking for variety on their tropical honeymoon. It’s perfect for romance, seclusion, entertainment, water sports, nature preserves... the list goes on and on. Find shipwrecks scattered throughout the islands, powder-soft beaches to relax during the day and plenty of casinos for amusement at night.

With so many islands and cays to choose from, it may seem difficult to figure out where to go in the Bahamas. If you are looking for more social settings and casinos, stick with Cable Beach or Paradise Island. If you're interested in seclusion and romance, head to one of the more remote outer islands. The Bahamas does not lack beautiful beaches. Pink Beach on Harbour Island is one of the most beautiful beaches on the Bahamas and is a perfect location for swimming. Some of the other favorites include Treasure Cay Beach, North Shore Beach (Cat Island), Guana Beach (Abaco), Tahiti Beach (Elbow Cay) and Gold Rock Beach (Grand Bahama).

Traveling Cheap to the Bahamas

High-rise and luxury resorts are plentiful in the Bahamas, as well as small hotels. With so many hotels on the islands, the prices tend to be competitive. For a budget honeymoon, stay on one of the larger islands to reduce airfare. You can even fly to Florida and then take a ferry over to Nassau or Grand Bahama. If you don't mind more people around, the larger islands tend to have more affordable hotels and dining.

Haiti is a save place now...

A reputation for danger and instability. And while the turbulent history of Haiti doesn't lend itself well to apologists, the country itself has long been given a bad rap. While crime, environmental problems and urban decay definitely have a home here, it's neither more or less sketchy than many places in the world. And if anyone tries to talk you out of visiting Haiti, politely ignore them, as Haiti culture makes the island one of the most complex and fascinating locations in all of the Caribbean. In fact, Haiti tourism was a bustling industry just 25 years ago. The untamed scenery and exotic locale were legendary, attracting movie stars and business moguls from all over the world. Notoriety came in the form of Haiti's national religion of voodoo, but it was soon replaced by a different, more ominous marking – dictatorships, drug trafficking, widespread poverty and violence, all of which seriously wounded Haiti tourism. And despite the return of democracy to the island in the 21st century, the island is still in the process of recovery. But that is neither here nor there, as the island still has enormous beauty to offer. Factor in that the government and people of Haiti are trying their best to restore the island into a tourist haven, and you have all the makings for a sublime trip to an island rediscovering itself. The palm trees and gingerbread houses of Jacmel make the city one of the most beautiful locations in all of the Caribbean. The fading white of the buildings and voodoo artwork give the city an exoticism that reminds one of why this used to be one of the top tourist spots in the entire Caribbean.
Despite the messy history of Haiti, the country is indeed becoming more tourist-friendly. Fear mongering and trumped-up State Department warnings are the only reminders of what Haiti used to be. Luckily, the people of Haiti are more concerned with what the island is turning into: one of the best kept secrets and one of the great examples of political and economic renewal in all of the world.

El Aqua Beach

Isla Margarita (Margarita Island) is the largest island of the Nueva Esparta State in Venezuela, situated in the Caribbean off the north eastern shore of Venezuela. The State has two other smaller islands: Coche and Cubagua. The capital of Isla Margarita is La Asunción located in a river valley of the same name. Isla Margarita has numerous beaches, ranging from solitary to crowded. Playa El Agua in the north is the most popular, with 4 km of fine sand. Playa El Yaque is internationally known as an excellent location for windsurfing.

Mauritius Island...family or honeymoon Vacation

A Luxury Family Vacation to Mauritius is a dream for many people, and if you choose Le Prince Maurice then you won’t be disappointed. As a family our family vacation idea was in fact La Belle Mare Plage in August 2008. We chose it because they offered us a fantastic deal, but when we arrived at the airport no awaiting vehicle, and although the hotel were expecting us, we hung around for an hour before the Manager came up and apologised, saying our suites had been damaged, and would we mind if they upgraded us to Le Prince Maurice their sister hotel, where we would have two suites and not a suite and an adjoining room.Having little choice we accepted, and what a joy Le Prince Maurice turned out to be.
Mauritius 5 star Luxury Holidays are the choice of tens of thousands of holidaymakers every year, and this number is rising rapidly. It is about an eleven hour flight from most European departure cities to this Indian Ocean Hideaway Some people choose the Dinarobin Golf and Spa Hotel, and there must be some good reasons that make them choose this hotel for their package holiday in Mauritius.
Indeed Dinarobin has become a popular destination for a Mauritius honeymoon as well as a Mauritius package holiday. Perhaps it is the scenery, because the exclusive resort of Dinarobin, which has excellent facilities, is surrounded by dramatic scenery and sits adjacent to over four miles of immaculate white sand beach. There is excellent diving here, and the resort of Dinarobin is a great place for couples so well suited if you are planning a honeymoon in Mauritius. You will find the Dinarobin Golf and Spa Hotel on the very attractive south west corner of Mauritius, with Le Morne mountain making a great backdrop, and it is about a one hour drive from the airport. The hotel consists of a series of thatched villas in tropical gardens facing the beautiful beach. Each villa has between two and six suites. Each suite at Dinarobin has a large and private verandah, and is furnished with natural wood and bamboo.

If you want a private holidays in Panama Coast

Islas Secas is not a private island, it is a privately owned group of 16 small islands 12 miles off Panama’s Pacific Coast. If you want to feel like a castaway on your honeymoon, with all the comforts then Islas Secas could well be the place for your private island honeymoon. Islas Secas is a unique kind of resort built very definitely with the expression eco friendly in mind, and is the ideal honeymoon destination for couples who just don’t want the 5 star crowded all singing dancing resorts that are found all over the world today. There are two ways to arrive at Islas Secas, either by boat to the floating dock on Cavada the largest of the islands, where you will be met by the entire staff. The dock is floating because of the incredible rise and fall of the tide in the Pacific, so much so that the 16 foot tide empties the bay each low tide. If you fly in you will arrive on the resort’s private plane after a one hour flight from Panama City, and once again be met by the staff line up. You’ll be shown to your own ..................

Mozambique Benguerra Island

Mozambique holidays may not be the first thing you think of when you are looking for a beach front property, but you could do a whole lot worse than to check out the Mozambique channel, and Benguerra Island home to the luxury lodge called Benguerra Lodge. This is a beach front property with style, more a boutique hotel really, but in the wilderness of an offshore island on the edge of the Indian Ocean. Benguerra Lodge is small, very intimate with four different kinds of accommodation from the Bungalows, through the Cabanas, to the Casitas to the Villa. There are two Bungalows in the trees, less than 15 metres from the beach with a seaview. They have no windows or doors to maximise the sea breezes. They have blinds which can be drawn, overhead fans, mosquito nets, and en suite bathrooms with a shower. The Cabanas are right on the beach, with King sized bed, bathroom with bath, and private deck with Jacuzzi/plunge pool, hammocks and sun lounger, mini bar, and tea and coffee facilities. The Cabanas are especially romantic and elegant. The decadently private........... Are you interesting...?

Lazy Lagoon in Tanzania Island

Lazy Lagoon is a small private island offshore from a village called Bagamovo which is 70km north of Dar es Salaam, and is the perfect place to unwind for a few days after a safari. Lazy Lagoon is run by Alex and Janie Fox, who are members of an old Tanzanian expat family, and there is very little they don’t know about Tanzania, and East Africa generally. Lagoon Island has a claim to be the most exclusive beach resort in Tanzania, and consists.

We visited Lazy Lagoon after a safari, and what a place to unwind, and get the dust out of your pores. It is a small private island lodge, and is run by Alex and Janie Fox, whose knowledge of Africa is just amazing. You can only arrive one way, and that is by boat, and be warned you will get your feet and legs wet because you will have to wade ashore!! When you get there a most pleasant surprise awaits because here in the back of beyond is a real Robinson Cruso island, a hidden, almost unknown gem, and speaking personally, I hope it stays that way!! You will sleep in one of twelve bandas, set by the beach, which is actually about five miles of unspoilt white sand paradise. The bandas are well furnished, and have solar powered hot water, a large shady verandah with spacious rooms and big windows. They are constructed from palm leaf thatch in keeping with the local tradition, and with a wooden panelled interior. The verandahs are perfect for relaxing in a hammock, and watching the fishing fleet go out and come in, and there is a loft area where childrens’ beds can be put. There is room service, and the beach is right on your doorstep.

Barbados vacation

Barbados has superb beaches, top class hotels and restaurants, and the best sunshine record in the Caribbean. Its west coast has the fine beaches, warm Caribbean Sea, and many luxury hotels and villas. The east coast is far more rugged facing the Atlantic Ocean, with cliffs and coves, but is not so spoiled by mass tourism. If you decide to visit Barbados, what are the things you need to make sure you don’t miss? You must visit Bridgetown for its boutiques, and the quayside bistros where you can eat freshly caught seafood for you lunch. Go to the Barbados wildlife reserve, walk through the mahogany forest and see the monkeys and macaws. Visit the Graham Hill Nature Reserve for the most popular place for bird watching.
  • Between January and March, May to October you can take a sunset horseback ride on the sands at Garrison Savannah.Get underwater either by snorkelling, scuba diving or submarine. Don’t forget the island’s jazz festival in mid January, the Holders opera season in mid March, the open golf tournament in December, and of course cricket almost all the time, with the ICC Cricket World Cup in 2007. Why not take a charter flight to the Grenadines for a champagne and lobster picnic on the beach. You can hire a four wheeler, and go on a journey of discovery and see places other tourists don’t. This could include the pastel washed houses of cliff-top Bathsheba, potteries for ceramic art, the Morgan Lewis windmill, and the garden and arches of St. Nicholas Abbey.

  • There is so much to do that you will be amazed. You can go caving, to Animal Flower Cave where you will see a rainbow of colourful coral, or there is the mile long underground train trip through Harrisons Cave.
  • One of the best things about Barbados is how easy it is to travel to other islands from Barbados, so why not consider a multi centre vacation? Grenada, or Tobago spring to mind as two relatively peaceful places for a twin centre holiday. In fact any respectable Travel Agent can organise that for you.
Whatever, Barbados can and will give you the vacation of a lifetime.

Tsarabanjina Madagascar

It is worth taking travel sickness pills for the journey out to Tsarabanjina from Nosy Be if the sea is at all rough, the 90 minute journey to what was described by a fellow guest as “paradise” can be quite unpleasant. Situated in the North-west of Madagascar, Tsarabanjina is one of the islands of the Mitsio archipelago offering luxury and service at the highest level. The island is filled with the melody of extraordinary birds, lush vegetation, turquoise seas, white beaches and unspoilt reefs.
Tsarabanjina is a tiny lush volcanic island with wonderful white sandy beaches, abundant coral and untouched marine life lying 60km off the coast of Madagascar. The lodge has 18 attractive thatched bungalows made of local materials dotted along the beach under the shady palms. There is a good bar and restaurant serving fantastic fresh seafood and the atmosphere is friendly and relaxed. There are several private beaches which make Tsarabanjina perfect for the escapist while the diving, fishing and snorkelling here are hard to beat.

Tobago Vacation.

A Tobago Vacation
What to See. What to Do.It doesn’t matter whether you stay in a grand five star all inclusive hotel or a guest house, Tobago has a lot going for it, and much to see and do. At 8 miles wide and 26 miles long, you would think that you would be able to get around most of the Island in a day, but this just isn’t the case. You see one of the charms of Tobago is its almost complete lack of any kind of infrastructure at all. The roads are full of potholes, and you either complain about it, or hire a 4 x 4 and have a great time dodging around the potholes, or perhaps going through them if they are full after a rain shower!!.So where are the best places to visit?.There is no doubt that the southwest lowlands are where all the development is centred. Crown Point International Airport is here, and a few smart hotels along the Caribbean coast. There is Buccoo Reef, Pigeon Point and Store Bay with its fine white sand beaches, and finally the colourful capital city Scarborough with its exciting port.

Definitely a trip across to the south coast of Tobago is more than worthwhile. Here the shore is pounded by the Atlantic Ocean with its big swell and breakers. Villages like Speyside are just one of the places to visit.

  • Moving north, the Caribbean Coast has many beautiful coral sand beaches such as Englishman’s Bay, Bloody Bay, Castara, and Parlatuvier, and the crowds are definitely absent here. The most northerly village Charlotteville is at the point where the Atlantic Ocean meets the Caribbean, and here there are good coal reefs, some within swimming distance of the beach

  • On the east side of Tobago, there is a rapid rise into the hills which are known as the Central Main Ridge, which is where you will find the main rainforest, which then falls away quite sharply to the sea with its palm fringed sandy beaches.

If you are a naturalist or a birdwatcher then the moisture soaked misty rainforest is a paradise waiting to be explored.

Birdwatchers also need to be taken to Little Tobago just over a mile off shore and just over a mile long. It is uninhabited, and is a seabird sanctuary off the coast at Speyside.

You can see that Tobago has something for just about everyone. From bird watchers to sun worshippers; foodies to beach bums; people watchers to surfers; romantics to the young with no money.

Tobago is a wonderful place where you are quickly taken back to a time where life was conducted in a right and proper way. A place where children have respect for their elders, where church on Sunday is an accepted part of life, and the land is given priority over profiteering.

Take a vacation in Tobago, and see for yourself.

Musha Cay in Bahama

Imagine a Private Luxury Island with 23 friends in the Bahamas. It’s called Musha Cay and many of the few who’ve been lucky enough to stay there claim it to be the best tropical island not just in the Bahamas, but anywhere. You and I may never get the chance to fulfil our dreams of a private island honeymoon on a place like this, for two very good reasons. The first is that we could never afford it, and the second is that Musha Cay is rented out as an island for fifty weeks of the year. It is only during a two week period that this most luxurious of luxury private islands can be rented on an individual house basis. However we can all dream, and we should all dream of what a private island getaway like Musha Cay would be like. Imagine renting an entire 150 acre island just off Great Exhuma in the Bahamas, with a staff of 37 who live there and will pander to your every whim. Make a mental list now of which of your friends you would like to invite to what will be your own luxury island for as long as you can afford it!! Your friends can choose one of five very private................

Maldives, Kanuhura Resort....!

We wanted a honeymoon package in the Maldives in February, so we went online and searched under ”Maldives island holidays beautiful Resorts Beach”, because we thought that these key words should throw up the biggest number of websites to check out. Then after doing a lot of research, plus reading a few Kanuhura Maldives Reviews made the decision to go to Kanuhura. We certainly didn’t regret it for one second. The flight to Male was tedious, but the seaplane flight to the island was simply incredible, the colours of the sea, the white sand, the turquoise water, was something I’d never seen before, as this was my first trip out of Europe. It really whetted my appetite for Kanuruha, and it was everything a tropical island had been in my dreams. It isn’t a large island, probably about a thirty minute walk all round, and there are two completely different sides to it. We were on the west side, where the sunset, and we had a beautiful uninterrupted view to a couple of neighbouring islands. The sea was just a wonderful colour, and it was shallow a long way out, so very safe to swim. The seaplane did land on our side, but we did have a nice breeze. The east side, the sunrise side had the water bungalows, and the beach bungalows looked out at them which wasn’t as attractive. Having said that when we swam there the fish were so tame they followed us around, obviously looking to be fed which was lovely. If I were to be critical it would be the closeness of the neighbouring chalets, so you could hear conversations, music etc, but again they were designed to give maximum privacy, and you really had your own bit of beach. The accommodation itself was excellent. I’m fairly certain we wouldn’t want to be there for a honeymoon in school holidays, because there is a kids club, and I could imagine the place being somewhat less than peaceful at these times!!

Not that we sat by the pool a lot, but when we did the service was immaculate, and this was where we came for lunch, then we would eat in the evening in the restaurant at the top of the island, which we liked the most. The food was surprisingly good, and we took the half board option, and I know we saved money, in fact quite a lot.

I’m very glad we took our honeymoon package in the Maldives in February, I’m even happier we stayed on Kanuhura, and as a final tip, do what we did, and check out the keyword expression “Maldives Island Holidays Beautiful Resorts Beach”,

one of beautiful beach in Okinawa - Japan

Araha Park, conveniently tucked behind the Hamby Town San A in Chatan is a family spot. Americans may refer to the spot as Pirate Ship Park because of the giant wooden play structure fashioned after an old ship. The zip slide and climbing ropes offer amusement for the kids who can't sit still. The beach features soft sand with a roped-off swimming area, restrooms, and picnic tables. Araha Park is near a shopping area featuring snacks, drinks and air conditioning.

Mediteranian French Beach

The beaches of the French Riviera and Languedoc have long been a vacation hot spot for international jet-setters and movie stars—and with good reason. With warm Mediterranean waters, beautiful resort seaside towns, plenty of sunshine and great beaches, it is no surprise that these beaches are some of the most popular and famous around the world. The glitz and glamor of France’s Mediterranean coastline (known as the Cote d’Azur in France) is rivaled by few other places on the globe. From the giant yachts of St. Tropez, to the uber high-end resorts of Monaco and the star-studded Cannes film festival, the glamorous French Riviera is known for its pristine blue waters, warm weather, high rollers and crowded beach towns. Most people associate the French Riviera with aggravating stop and go traffic However, this area, while expensive and overly crowded in the summer, is famous for a reason–it’s beautiful, it’s chic, and it’s a got great weather and even better food. And, while there is definitely no place to totally avoid people and high-prices, there are some great lesser-known yet equally beautiful destinations on this star studded region of France.

Eating and Drinking

The French Riviera has an abundance of traditional seafood dishes that every visitor should indulge in. You can taste the famous Marseilles bouillabaisse, which is a delicious stew with a variety of different kinds of shell fish and fish, herbs and spices. On a hot day, cool down with a salade nicoise, with combines tomatoes, anchovies, green beans, tuna, new potatoes, hard-boiled eggs and other vegetables over a bead of crispy lettuce. The drink of choice in this glamorous region? Champagne, but of course. So pop a bottle of bubbly and watch the sun set behind the yachts.

Hanalei Bay in Hawai

Lovely Hanalei Bay on Kauai’s North Shore may be the most beautiful beach setting in all of Hawaii. Hanalei is the largest bay on the island of Kauai and nearly a perfect semi-circle of white sand. Behind the beach is an utterly breathtaking backdrop of waterfalls and emerald mountain peaks wrapped in mist, soaring thousands of feet towards the heavens. The beach is two miles long, 125 feet wide, and bordered by the Hanalei River to the east and the Waipa River to the west. The ocean bottom slopes gently to overhead depths, and there are large coral reefs at both ends of the bay. Every ocean recreation activity you can imagine is available, from boating and windsurfing to kayaking up the placid Hanalei River. The bay is very popular with serious surfers. There is a public boat ramp and a 300-foot long pier used for fishing and swimming. The many “no dogs” and “no jumping off the pier” signs are blissfully ignored.

Tropea Beach in Italy

The town may be famous for its red onions, but Tropea is a beach resort on a par with anything the south of Italy has to offer. Tropea is located on the westernmost tip of the Italian peninsular not far from Capo Vaticano which itself overlooks the Messina Straits between Calabria and Sicily. Old Tropea sits on a chalk cliff overlooking the sea and the nearby beaches. It really is a fabulous spot to take the whole area in. Looking from the edge of the cliff you can admire the turquoise sea as it stretches out along the 'Costa Tirrenica' towards the island of S.Maria, while behind you the medieval town contains everything you might expect; nobles' palaces, churches and numerous alleyways, most leading to a balcony and another spectacular view. According to legend, the town was founded by Hercules from whom it took its first name 'Portoercole'. Following Saracen and Byzantine rule, Tropea was conquered by Roger the Norman in 1090. Jolly Roger is worth a mention as it was he who transformed the diocese from the Greek to Latin rite. Subsequently, the Angevins established self government or 'università' for the town, bolstered by a growing bourgiois merchant class and in 1445 Alfonso the Magnaminous granted Tropea the privilege of trading with both Sicily and the Kingdom of Naples. Times were good until the town was remodelled by the finely named Ermenegildo Sintes in the late 1700's following regional earthquake damage, only for the French to strip Tropea of all its previous privileges in 1806.

The British Virgin Islands (BVI) is a British overseas territory, located in the Caribbean to the east of Puerto Rico. The islands make up part of the Virgin Islands archipelago, the remaining islands constituting the U.S. Virgin Islands. Technically the name of the Territory is simply the "Virgin Islands", but in practice since 1917 they have been almost universally referred to as the "British Virgin Islands" to distinguish the islands from the American Territory.[1] To add to the regional confusion, the Puerto Rican islands of Culebra, Vieques and surrounding islands began referring to themselves as the "Spanish Virgin Islands" as part of a tourism drive in the early 2000s. The British Virgin Islands consist of the main islands of Tortola, Virgin Gorda, Anegada and Jost Van Dyke, along with over fifty other smaller islands and cays. Approximately fifteen of the islands are inhabited. The capital, Road Town, is situated on Tortola, the largest island which is approximately 20 km (approx. 12 mi) long and 5 km (approx. 3 mi) wide. The islands have a total population of about 22,000, of whom approximately 18,000 live on Tortola.

The Caribbean's winwalld Island

St. Vincent and the Grenadines in the Caribbean's Winward Islands is a land of contrast. The main island of St. Vincent has an active volcano, Mt. Soufriere, which last erupted in 1979, and the island is covered with lush tropical rainforest vegetation. Exotic St. Vincent is also home to beautiful black sand beaches and cascading waterfalls, the most well known of which is the Falls of Baleine. The Grenadines, many of which are flat coral islands, have beaches with soft white sand, and sailboats abound in their turquoise waters. Bequia is home to fishermen and boat builders famous for their colorful wooden skiffs. Our St. Vincent and the Grenadines picture collection covers Saint Vincent, Bequia, Mayreau, Canouan, Union Island, Palm Island and the Tobago Cays, and includes aerial views of some of the Grenadines islands.

Kenting in Taiwan

The semi-tropical landscape of southern Taiwan is a surprise until you remember that the island's earlier Portuguese name, Formosa, means "beautiful". The name still fits. Unhurried and warm, Kenting, at the rugged southernmost tip of the island, has reasonable beaches for swimming, diving and surfing, plus an 18,000-ha national park. So you can also holiday in the beach and in the national park there.

Dubai, how you get there ?

Dubai, famous and luxury hotel.

With a flight time of around 7 hours from the UK, Dubai is not a short distance away and as such it can often be difficult finding any sort of cheap flights.

Lastminute.com currently have a Flight Sale on and one of the destinations in the sale is Dubai. As with most deals, I am often sceptical as to what is the catch. With flights, it is often that you have to fly on an exact day and possibly with some airline you have never heard of. So I have done the homework for you:

Cheap Flights Dubai
I have just done a quick search and at the moment you can get return tickets to Dubai from around £230, depending on what airline and what days you choose to fly on.

Some examples

  • Royal Brunei Airlines £230 return
  • Qatar Airways £244 return
  • Etihad Airways £243 return

The cheap flight prices listed above are for travel dates between 30th April and up until July - The prices start to rise in July when the cheapest price is then £321. As you can see the airlines are also some of the best, infact I would go as far to say that Qatar Airways is probably the best airline in the world and unlike some low cost airlines, the ones above won’t surprise you with hidden fees, these prices include taxes and fees!

As well as cheap flights to Dubai in their sale, lastminute.com also have some other great deals:

  • Virgin Atlantic : Heathrow to New York £284 return
  • Virgin Atlantic: Heathrow to Hong Kong £363 return
  • Etihad Airways: Heathrow to Johannesburg £383 return
  • Emirates Airways: Gatwick to Bangkok £400 return
  • Etihad Airways: Heathrow to Sydney £560 return

the cook island "Aroa Beach in Aitutaki"

The Cook Islands consist of 15 islands scattered over some 2 million square kilometres of the Pacific Ocean.

The Pacific archipelago is is a sumptuous mix of tropical sun and coconut palms and was voted to have the world's most glorious bone-white beaches and therefore makes the perfect place to get away from the stresses and strains of life.

How could an island like this (see photo) not have stunning beaches? Well it does and Aroa beach on Aitutaki, which is part of the Cook Islands is one of the most beautiful with everything you ever dreamed of in a beach.

As Gavin McOwan says "It takes forever to get to this coral atoll necklaced by an azure lagoon, but the snorkelling, fishing and scuba-diving make this hidden paradise one of the best beaches in the south Pacific."

i'm sure that you will amuse with this view...a sure i'll do.
